Currently working: The string of publishers associated with Beadle & Adams, creators of the first Dime Novels, which were serial publications generally printed on inexpensive pulp, usually priced at a nickel or - less frequently - a dime, which stuck as the descriptive term.

The Beadle brothers hailed from Buffalo, New York, but removed to New York City as their situation improved.
